Experience Through Their Eyes

OK, guys. I am ashamed to admit I have been in the Atwater area for the last 12 years.....and this is my FIRST TIME HERE! We went here for dinner. It was POPPING! It was a busy night, and there were a couple of parties on the patio; all that being said, we were there for maybe an hour-hour and a half. Our food came out in stages, and our drinks stayed full. (Big kudos for this) I didn't get our sweet waitress' name, but the receipt said Isabel, anyhow she had dark hair & pretty blue nails. It was apparent that tonight was an off night. Apparently, someone passed out, and another person quit; so the service was slower than normal (based on how other customers were acting). All of that to be said, our waitress was sweet and stayed on top of our needs. The meal was like a night at Nona's. My Italian hubby was stoked & said this brought back childhood memories of his Italian family's houses. Had the Dino & Frank (music) in the background. It was a meal and a good ambiance. It was a little dated for decor - but c'mon....who's Nona's house is modern? Despite the chaos....we will be back. Still need to try those fried Oreos. Also, for those who are soda snobs (raises hand) they have Pepsi products.

I have lived here majority of my life and have never been here. Today we went and I wish I would have came decades ago!! Chicken marsala was amazing! The pizza was amazing. Fettuccine Alfredo was great. But the star player was that cheese bread!!!! Cheese bread gets a 6 stars!! I will definitely be back!

Had dinner Monday eve. Restaurant is old school charm, food was excellent and so was the service. Sat at the bar, enjoyed meat lovers pizza and a nice fresh salad. Enjoyed a bottle of chianti with a good friend and visited with the bartender. I'll be back, if your reading this review, you should visit too. Ron and Erin

All the people here are very friendly. From the moment you walk in you are treated like family! We had a couple questions about the menu or what was in a particular dish and the waitress was able to answer easily. She knew the menu and the dishes. Our food came in a reasonable amount of time, getting appetizers, soup, salad and main course. We did not get any deserts because we were full from our meals, we even took some home for later! My husband wanted something meaty so he ordered some raviolis with sausage, meat sauce. He was very happy with his selection, it was filling. I ordered a cheese tortellini with alfredo sauce. It was so good, even though I was full, I still wanted to keep eating! Many things here are "home made" including the bread. This isn't just bread, it's real hand made, home made bread and it's delicious. We took home some of each dish and some garlic cheese bread. I enjoyed eating the leftovers for lunch the next day. Prices weren't bad. I believe our meals were under $20 each, and included the main dish, soup or salad and bread.
